Yunruo Shen, Intern ( Located virtually in MA, PA, VA,NJ, PA AND FL)
Hi, I’m Yunruo, an MSW intern therapist at Mosaic Behavioral Health. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University and am currently completing my Master of Social Work at The Ohio State University.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you are not completely sure how to explain what you are feeling yet. Sometimes you may just know that something feels heavy, confusing, or difficult to manage on your own — and that is enough of a place to begin. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we explore your experiences together at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm. I especially enjoy supporting clients who want to better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, build confidence, and develop healthier ways of managing stress and emotions.
My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in curiosity and compassion. I integrate approaches including CBT, mindfulness, ACT, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
I believe therapy is not about “fixing” who you are, but about creating space to better understand yourself, care for yourself more compassionately, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
