I have worked as a social worker for 20 years helping individuals and families dealing with anxiety, stress, childhood trauma, abuse and neglect concerns, divorce, relationship issues, disabilities, racial and cultural identity issues, LGBTQI+ identity, women’s issues, self-esteem, and adoption concerns. I have experience in behavioral health settings, child welfare, and substance abuse treatment. My focus is using Motivational Interviewing with a client centered approach to empower each client to overcome obstacles.  I try to tailor all treatment modalities to best meet the individual needs of each client. I attempt to have a nurturing attitude to promote wellbeing, empowerment, and advocacy in every journey.

My ideal client is a young adult or adolescent struggling with cultural issues and LGBTQI+ issues. They require empowerment to find their own identity and education regarding resources and support. They want a therapist to not only empathize with them but to understand their journey while not judging the life they have led.
