Meet Ashlee (she/her)
Therapist Intern | MSW Candidate, The Ohio State University
I am a therapist intern working toward licensure as a clinical social worker, with experience supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families in nonprofit settings. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey—you bring your story, strengths, and needs, and together we work toward healing and growth.
My approach is grounded in strength-based, person-centered, and family systems practices, tailored to your unique goals. Many of the challenges that bring people to therapy are rooted in connection—how we relate to ourselves, others, and the systems around us. I provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space to explore these connections and strengthen the ones that matter most.
As an intern, I bring a fresh perspective, genuine curiosity, and deep commitment to research and learning, ensuring that I can support you with care and intention. I feel honored to walk alongside individuals, couples, parents, children, and families as they deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and move toward greater well-being.
My Ideal Clients
My ideal clients are those navigating:
Life transitions (career changes, grief, family dynamics)
Emotional challenges such as stress, depression, and anxiety
Relationship issues—whether romantic, familial, or self-connection
Trauma, abuse, or religious transitions
Identity exploration, including LGBTQ+ experiences
They are seeking clarity, healing, and growth—and are ready to engage in the collaborative work of therapy to achieve greater connection and confidence.
How I Can Help
I specialize in:
Depression, stress, and anxiety
Relationship and intimacy challenges
Trauma and abuse recovery
Grief and loss
Parenting and family conflicts
LGBTQ+ related issues
Faith transitions and religious deconstruction
I draw from a range of approaches, including:
Attachment-Based Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Mindfulness Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Together, we’ll find the tools and insights that best support your unique path toward healing.
Outside the Therapy Room
When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time with my friends, family, and my teacup chihuahua, Lula. I’m also a passionate fan of Dune, K-dramas, BTS (Yoongi-biased!), and many other aspects of South Korean culture.
